Zipcode Shipping Rate ("the app") lets Shopify merchants set delivery rates by zip/postal code. This policy explains what data the app collects and how it's used.
When you install the app, we store your shop's domain and the delivery zones, zip/postal code patterns, and rates you create in the app. We also store the app's operating settings (whether rate calculation is enabled, test mode, currency, fallback behavior) and the OAuth access token Shopify issues to let the app manage your store's shipping configuration.
When a customer checks out, Shopify runs the app's rate-matching logic directly on Shopify's own infrastructure to decide which shipping rate to show, based on the destination's zip/postal code, country, order weight, and order value. This happens inside Shopify's systems and does not send customer data to our servers.
If a merchant enables the optional storefront "shipping estimator" widget, a customer's entered zip/postal code, country, and the product or cart's weight and price are sent to our server to calculate an estimate. This data is used only to compute that one response and is not stored.
We never collect customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, full shipping addresses, payment information, or order contents. We don't sell or share merchant or customer data with third parties.
Shop configuration data (zones, rates, settings, and session data) is retained only while the app is installed. When a merchant uninstalls the app, all of this data is deleted from our database automatically, in compliance with Shopify's data protection requirements.
